Australian Glass and Window Association

The Australian Window Association is made up of nearly 600 window manufacturers and industry suppliers throughout Australia. Members of the association have products tested to Australian Standard AS2047. You can be confident that products are made to withstand Australian conditions when purchasing from AGWA member. Don't risk costly replacement of non-compliant products that are not suited to Australian conditions.

Vinyl Council Australia

aluplast is proud to be an active member of the Vinyl Council. The Vinyl Council of Australia believes that vinyl products have a valuable role to play in a sustainable society. The Council is a member-based organisation established in June 1998 and acts as the peak organisation representing the Australian PVC, or vinyl, value chain. The Vinyl Council is working to advance the sustainability of the PVC industry in Australia through sharing information on, and engaging with stakeholders regarding the life cycle of PVC. The Council advocates the responsible manufacture, use and disposal of PVC products and aims to foster cooperation between member companies, governments and organisations to increase the understanding of the PVC life cycle. The Council provides leadership to its members in Product Stewardship and best practice models to encourage industry advances and operation to the highest standard.

Window Energy Rating Scheme

The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) provides a scientifically based, fair and credible rating system for the assessment of fenestration products for their energy efficiency performance. WERS is accredited by the Australian Fenestration Rating Council (AFRC) and adheres to AFRC protocols and procedures for the rating of windows and glazed doors. Energy Ratings provided by WERS are third party certified to the AFRC requirements, compliant with the National Construction Code (NCC), and able to be used to meet regulatory requirements. aluplast has a comprehensive list of ratings achieved in combination with Australian's leading glass suppliers. This database is reviewed and extended on a regular basis.

uPVC Windows Alliance

The uPVC Windows Alliance is an initiative of members of the Vinyl Council of Australia. Supported by leading manufacturers of uPVC window profiles for the Australian and New Zealand markets, the uPVC Windows Alliance aims to share information and resources on uPVC windows so that specifiers, architects, designers and home-owners can make fully-informed decisions about which type of window to install.

BRANZ Appraisal Holder

BRANZ Appraisals are robust, in-depth independent evaluations for building products and systems to be deemed fit for purpose and Building Code compliant. A BRANZ Appraisal is a tool that facilitates market acceptance. It gives confidence to building specifiers, Regulatory Bodies, Building Consent Authorities and Building Officials during the building and consent process.
